At 2NE1′s LA solo concert , world-renowned hip hop group Black Eyed Peas’ member Will.I.Am and Apl.De.Ap made a surprise appearance and even held a collaboration stage.
On August 24, 2NE1, who is currently on a global concert tour, held a solo concert at LA Nokia Theater. This was the second concert after the one that was held on August 17 at Newark Prudential Center in New Jersey.
Many audience members at the concert site tweeted and even uploaded pictures about the appearance of Will.I.Am and Apl.De.Ap at the end the concert.
2NE1′s agency, YG Entertainment, also confirmed about the surprise appearance of Will.I.Am and Apl.De.Ap. The agency states that the appearance of those two celebrities heated up the stage even more.
Will.I.Am and 2NE1 have been building an intimate relationship since their music collaboration in LA last year. 2NE1 already recorded 10 songs with Will.I.Am and plans to debut in the U.S. with these songs.
Will.I.Am and Apl.De.Ap even held a collaboration stage with 2NE1′s leader CL on 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards, which was held in Singapore.
The concert is creating a stir because it has been said that Jimmy Iovine, the president of Interscope (the agency that Lady Gaga, Eminem, and Black Eyed Peas belongs to) visited the site and watched them perform.
