Birth Of A Star winner Baek Chung Gang has a tumor and will not be able to perform on stage for at least 3 months.

On September 1st, the singers entertainment company revealed that Chung Gang was hospitalized on August 31st. Then, they revealed that the singer went through a surgery that removed a 4cm tumor from him.

The company also told the reporters that, since the surgery was on his stomach, he will not be able to perform and has to stay in the hospital to recover.

The spokesperson for the company and singer also revealed that he made Baek Chung Gang go for a cancer check up, just in case it might have formed in his body. He is currently waiting to see if the tumor was cancerous or not which will take about a week for the test results to come back.

Baek Chung Gang was known for winning the first season of MBC’s Birth of a Star and he also recently released All Night in June 2012.
