Tim Burton proves yet again that he can do no wrong!
Director Tim Burton, the man behind Alice in Wonderland, Nightmare Before Christmas and Edward Scissorhands, is now moving into anime terrirtory as he voice acts in a new anime series, Kami Usagi Rope. Burton will be voicing the character of the dog in the short series that will air next year on Fuji TV.
The anime’s staff offered Burton the role on his trip to Japan this month. Burton gladly took the role when he saw the illustration of the character Tim-Inu saying that the dog looked just like him.
Kami Usagi Rope revolves around a rabbit in high school named Rope and his squirrel friend Akira and their conversations as they walk through their neighborhood to the movie theatre. Yuji Uchiyama has written, designed and will direct the anime himself giving Burton a slight challenge; memorizing english lines as well as Japanese lines.
