Who says there is such a thing as never going back to one’s past?
Hong Kong-turned Hollywood actor Chow Yun Fat may be signing up for the fourth instillation of the God Of Gamblers series, directed by Wong Jin.
Chow Yun Fat would be reprising his role from the first movie in 1989, playing as the “god of gamblers” himself, Ko Chun. This is an extremely iconic role, so it may be enough to draw Chow Yun Fat back to the Asian film industry, despite not having been in a Hong Kong film for over 18 years ever since he attempted to break into the Hollywood market. He starred in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World’s End.
Along with Chow Yun Fat, Nicolas Tse and Kimmy Tong are rumored to be part of the rumored upcoming sequel. However, Wong Jin is still keeping the public waiting, by not confirming that there will even be a God Of Gamblers 4. Don’t worry, though! He has admitted that if it does happen, Chow Yun Fat is “likely” to reprise his role.
