Jennie first learned of KPop while watching the Japanese anime “Inuyasha”. The ending song of the anime was BoA’s “Every Heart”. Using Google she learned that BoA was not Japanese but Korean which just led to the Korean equivalent of “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon”. KPop led to Kdramas and Kdramas led to KVariety shows being consumed like a bag of Skittles. Amongst her favorite KPop groups/singers are BoA, SHINee, Shinhwa, MBLAQ, T-ara, Kangta, Lee Hyori, and Ock Joo Hyun. She loves Hong Sisters’ dramas such as My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, You’re Beautiful, and Greatest Love. She is addicted to Running Man and cheers for Giraffe and Grasshopper. Her favorite actor is Cha Seung Won and favorite actress is Kim Sun Ah. There’s just something about Korean Entertainment that has kept her interested and she has yet to find a way to properly put it into words.
